The BJ Wadia Hospital for Children is the oldest and only exclusive children’s hospitals in Mumbai. It has been the centre of pediatric treatment in the city for many years, as well as a very important training centre for pediatric medicine and surgery.

I am attached to the hospital as an honorary pediatric surgeon. I attend out-patient clinics, and surgical sessions at the hospital, and am involved in teaching pediatric surgical trainees.

The Society for Education to the Crippled is an NGO which runs schools for  physically challenged children . I got involved with the school some years ago, when I started a clinic to help children with physical, mainly spinal cord problems, who lose control over their urine and stools. I see, test and operate on some of these children. I run a clinic here for the school children once a week – it’s probably the best hour of my week!
